No, but were you? Sometimes what is said in public is different than what is said behind the scenes.

Why should I trust you. I am sure you weren't in the meeting and am sure you don't know all the details. I don't know them but I don't believe that he did as you suggest. If he did as you say, that doesn't speak very highly of VA Tech and the leadership. If you believe as you say why don't you call his hand and see what he says. If you will do that I can trust that you know what took place. Good luck.

    Guys why argue over it.
Tech did what they had to do. It wasn't just a speeding ticket and other thing it was a lot that lead to this with Marcus.
And in the speeding thing. He was driving on a what suspended license, Tech official new that much but not about the ticket or the seach of the vehicle and the search of the vehicle showed what?
    Pot.
Tech should of cut Marcus loose after his first incident.
I was never big on him. Bubby is what he is alll about.
He is gone from Tech and several Tech alumni and many Tech fans have voiced their concern and opinions.
At least Tech took a step more than what some schools have done.
Watch your 6 o'clock news and see what Beamer and Weaver and other has to say.
Marcus is to try the NFL.
He may make it somewhere but not as a QB for a long time, if ever.
At least Tech took a stand. I don't want to point fingers to the past as it helps no one. Maybe this will help others clean house before they are in the national news and spotlight.

You actually might should trust him on this. His source is pretty dead on.

And if you want to point fingers.

What SEC coach burned another programs? Hmm the name Fulmer comes to the forefront alot.

He did it to another program but silently takes care of UT problems.

Yet Phil don't mind firing every other coach well into the season when things go sour. But never hear him take the blame.

I got to say i got more for Beamer than i do Phil and UT for their well quiet way of doing business. Nothing hid here in this siutation, and dealt with more than appropriately.
That don't happen at some places does it?
To hold a press conference and let the media ask what ever quetions and see their answered.

Give it up guys. Marcus is gone from Tech.
Don't bury the rest of Tech and it's alumni and fans over one person.
If you do that start at Oklahoma from years past and dig the dirt to Tech.
Do that i think you will find enough to keep you busy even a few pro athletes that umm will tell you a lot about a few programs
I think you will find more than enough to keep you busy.
Tech to me stood up and was accountable and took care of the problem "Marcus" and is moving on.
How many more have done that?

    Re: The Marcus Vick situation

There were 5 different coaches who the NCAA questioned in that case. Fulmer is the only one that ever gets mentioned. Of course I guess he should have just lied to the NCAA instead of being truthful and have the risk of bringing trouble on yourself or your own program. As for Fulmer firing coaches well into the season, it was after the season. If you don't do your job, your ass should be fired. The only thing to fault Fulmer for is being to loyal to coaches and keeping them on the staff longer than he should. He has also done nothing but place the blame squarely on the shoulders of himself and his coaches for the disaster that this season turned out to be. BTW, what problems is Fulmer taking care of silently? He's let tons of players go in the last few years for off the field problems. If you want to keep it quiet, you wouldn't release press releases and news conferences to discuss things like that. Some of you people absolutely leave me scratching my head.
